Meng-meng Fu, Ph.D. was a Neuroscience Graduate Group student in her lab who won the Winegrad Award last year. She is now a postdoc at Stanford with Ben Barres, MD, PhD. Clare Waterman, Ph.D. was Erika's first graduate student. She won the award in 1995 and is now a Distinguished Investigator at NIH. All are invited for the awards presentation!

Lawrence completed his undergraduate research thesis in the lab of Dr. Iruka Okeke at Haverford, studying virulence factors and antimicrobial peptides produced by diarrheagenic E. coli. He also helped develop diagnostic assays to detect drug resistance mutations in Hepatitis C virus with Dr. Adele McCormick during a semester abroad at University College London.

May 2019: Clare Waterman, Stephanie’s PhD advisor, was recently inducted to the National Academy of Sciences! Stephanie went to celebrate Clare’s awesome accomplishments and science at a special symposium, Watermanfest, held at the NIH.
